=====The Collective Tribe=====
//Up in the world above, the elders of The Collective Tribe in the Land of Endless Sky tell stories of history to the young tribe members.//

Today we are People of Sky, but once upon a time our people lived underground in the Labyrinth.  For 800 years they were split off from the rest of the world.  They were known as The Collective of Kind Hands Helping One Another Thrive.  When the Labyrinth opened up again, and they were reunited with the people above, a Tai-An princess met the members of the Collective and saw they were similar to the People of Sky in the ways they treated nature.  Not quite Za-Rin, but something else.  A something else that still to this day makes the Collective Tribe a little different from other tribes.  But, when danger came to the home of the Collective of Kind Hands Helping One Another Thrive, the Tai-An princess let all who needed to leave that place move to the Land of Endless Sky.

At first we were a separated people, with different people living in different tribes and some in the Imperial City.  This was so we could learn the ways of the Steppe and because war was occurring across Thyslann making it hard for us all to be together.  And so our people lived separately amongst many different tribes, until one day a descendant of one of those original people decided the Collective in the Land of Endless Sky should live together as one tribe.  She gathered the people together and asked the Emperor and the Tribute Council for a small area of land for our tribe to live on.  The Emperor agreed, having heard tales of Kythara and the Labyrinth from her Great Aunt who established the alliance.  After that the Council found land we could all live on.

Wanting to live truly as the Collective would, the founder of our tribe traveled to the Labyrinth to meet with the version of the Collective that still lived there.  She lived with them and studied their ways before assembling the Collective Tribe together.  This is why we do not have a tribe leader like other tribes.  We are led by a tribe council and rotate who our tribe tribute is regularly so that everyone can be involved in the governance of the tribe.  We do our best to honor who the Collective were as we carve out our own path forward as the Collective Tribe.

=====The Collective School of Martial Arts=====
With the opening of the Labyrinth, the Collective of Kind Hands Helping One Another Thrive grew smaller and smaller.  At first, at the end of the war, some new people joined and brought new skills and expertise to the Collective.  But with the Guilds getting support from Dolom, Primus getting support from the North, and the Church of Guardian's outposts being willing to help nearly everyone else, very few people needed the help of the Collective.  And with all of Thyslann open for exploration, some people began to leave.

It eventually became clear that the Collective needed to change to continue to exist.  Luckily, due to the expertise of Jean des Champs and Ama Ten Ascom, the Collective was able to provide a new way to draw people to them.  To study with the Collective School of Martial Arts; the only martial arts school in Thyslann that specializes in fighting styles designed to minimize harm to your opponent. 

The masters of this fighting style regularly became adventurers and guides to people journeying to new and unfamiliar places, while some chose to stay and become members of the governing council for the school.

The Collective Martial Arts School is not the same society that the Collective of Kind Hands Helping One Another Thrive once were, but they keep record of their history and seek to fight in ways that honors who the Collective were before.
