At first site, the figure that climbs up into the Church resembles a slender Dragonblooded. You might confuse them for an aristocratic pilgrim, clad in a humble brown robe as an act of performative penitence, which serves only to highlight the confidence radiating from her. It isn't only confidence, though; it isn't only the fire within; and it isn't only the lantern dangling from the end of the long quarterstaff they carry. He is cushioned in orange. A thin, gelatinous film, glowing with the mysteries of the deep. The newcomer identifies themself as Deep-Lantern, a diplomat from the Collective. They seem genuinely interested in the beliefs and stories of the surface-dwellers. She will talk to them of gods and names they know, but twisted by the warping pressures of 800 years below.
