If you feel overwhelmed by the options available, **don't panic**! This page is here to help you focus and select the aspects of the game that interest you the most, based on the character archetype you want to play. Every character in //Labyrinth// needs to have the following: * **A [[:setting|state]]**: A place of origin or residence for your character, with rivalries and affiliations to other regions. * **A [[setting:species]]**: A lineage and set of inherent traits for your character. * **A [[system:status|Social Status]]**: A position in society, with both the power and responsibility that that position brings. This is denoted with a numerical rank from 1 to 5 for player characters at the start of the game. * **At least two [[system:skills_magic|Skills]]**: Things that your character is good at, indicative of their profession or training. * **Optionally [[setting:magic|Paths of Magic]]**: Abilities that allow you do things beyond the mundane, creating fantastical effects that enable you to creatively solve problems. Listed below are a selection of character concepts, along with options for you to realise these concepts. **This is __not__ a comprehensive list** of all the ways to play a character in //Labyrinth//, nor are the options listed the only methods to achieve the character you want.
