Labyrinth Factions

We've got to be prepared for the door to stay locked, which means planting more crops now. There's a room across from the orrery which I think we can use for rice. By the time harvest comes I reckon everyone's going to be pretty hungry and if we play it right we could be pretty wealthy indeed. The only thing is that's pretty near to where the Legion are camped and we still don't know what they're planning, but I'm not sure there's time to find anywhere better.

From a conversation between two soon-to-be farmers, shortly after the sinking of the Labyrinth

The Collective of Kind Hands Helping One Another Thrive, more colloquially know as The Collective, is a society founded on principals of equity and community care. Its members regard themselves as more altruistic and civilized than the others. We would OC recognize The Collective of Kind Hands Helping One Another Thrive as being an anarcho-communist society. All members of The Collective have the same social status and equal level of influence over The Collective's governance. It is a society that tries its best to live in balance with the ecosystems around it, and likewise its members tend to have greater familiarity with more of the Labyrinth than members of other Labyrinth factions.

The Allied Guilds are the most populous and wealthy of the factions, and regard themselves as more pragmatic and civilized than the others. In their towns, every profession is rigidly regulated by an associated guild, and the many guilds, each operating mostly independently, make up the entire system of government.

Originally a legion of the Tharenan Empire before it split in two, The 13th Legion are by far the strongest military force amongst the Labyrinth factions, and regard themselves as the most honourable and civilised faction. Governance is divided between the Military Tribunal, headed by the Legate, and the Forgemasters' Council, comprised of the owners of the 6 gigantic forges which form the backbone of the Legion's economy. The entire society is built around supporting it's medieval military-industrial complex, and its people's lives tend to be harsh and short.
