Remote Play

Labyrinth is allowing for people to play the game completely remotely.

Players who opt to participate in this way will be able to participate in downtime over the course of the game. This includes both emails and turnsheets.

If you are in Oxford at the time of an uptime and would like to attend, this is more than welcome. Please just let the GMs know in advance. You will be asked to pay the cost of the one session in addition to your payment for remote play, in order to help cover the cost of the room.

Please note that if we receive more than 30 character submissions, the ballot will prioritize in-person players over remote players.

Remote PCs are intended to represent the denizens of the Labyrinth who are dealing with the consequences of the Labyrinth's re-emergence exposing their homes to the rest of the world. As such, remote players must choose a Labyrinth faction for their character to be from. Since these characters reside in the Labyrinth and not the base camp, they do not have to attend the base camp meeting that uptime sessions are intended to represent.

You should consider what your character's life was like before the Labyrinth resurfaced to the outside world, and how they have reacted to this sudden change in their world. The entirety of a Labyrinth faction character's world would have been the Labyrinth itself, with most of the lower levels being a hostile place they have not encountered very much, if at all. The entirety of what they can see and experience in life will have just increased substantially, and new people from almost completely unfamiliar cultures will have just started streaming into the area that they call home.

These changes have likely impacted characters' goals for themselves and how they imagine the course of their lives will go.

Pricing information for remote players can be found here.
