If you need inspiration or just a little more clarity on what character creation entails, here are some we've come up with:

Bio: Izbell (she/her) hails from Corpunia and has a rather unusual idea of duty, having sworn an oath not to return to her homeland until she has been to the very depths of the Labyrinth. She had sworn this oath several years before the Labyrinth was discovered to have opened once again. Some of her family have called this destiny but others, notably her uncle Count Zimus, consider her a complete liability. Nevertheless, her oath makes her a useful pawn as someone likely to delve deep into the Labyrinth and for now she has been supported in the exploration of it.

Magic: Path of the River 1

Quirks:
Sworn Oath: Izbell swore an oath to reach the very depths of the Labyrinth. She was not actually expecting the Labyrinth to open, so this is both awkward and a clear sign of divine providence. This means that Izbell is completely determined to reach the bottom, despite knowing that this may still be a fool's errand.

Terrible Weakness: Duelling Injury - Izbell won a duel when she was young(er) and foolhardy(er) but it came at the cost of a wound in her thigh. This has never properly healed. She hides it well in battle, usually, and favours a fighting style that keeps it protected, but it is something that can easily be exploited if an opponent knows how.

Bio: Tinro (he/him) enjoys being revered in the Land of Endless Sky, a style appealing to his sensibilities. He has enjoyed it a lot less when this adoration has resulted in him being chosen to plumb the mysteries of the Labyrinth, which is rather against his preferred way of life. He has taken to the task reluctantly and though he is a learned (enough) scholar, and knows how to find his way (at least to an inn), he is a complete liability in any kind of dangerous situation. The troop of guards that was sent to escort him have all died protecting him, but he has reached his destination unscathed. How he fares in the Labyrinth itself still remains to be seen (if he dares go in).

Uncontrolled Power: Tinro is quite used to stumbling through life in a slight haze of good intentions. This has resulted in frequently very colourful encounters, some of which have made him persona non grata among many tribes of the Land of Endless Sky.

Bio: Lady Vitteli (any pronouns) may style herself a Great Mage but this respect is accorded her merely because she is wealthy and influential. Her abilities in Magic are real, but she herself is considered exceptionally tiresome, not to mention arrogant. While being hosted by some of her peers, her friend Irenico suggested she prove her dedication to Dolom by venturing to the Labyrinth. At the time she was rather taken by the idea, but having arrived on the island, her sense of danger has been troubling her non-stop. As the self-styled Great Mage she can hardly back down from the challenge, but she intends to approach the problem strategically and not simply blunder into danger. Blundering is for others.

Debt: Such an impressive lifestyle is not without its expenses, and Marika racks up a great many of those. She owes money to a number of banks in Dolom and although she has been leading them on a circular chase of debt for many years at this point, it seems someone has wised up and is systematically investigating what she actually owes. A young and meticulous Genten bureaucrat by the name of Quill has taken up the case.
