Izbell Cordona Turnsheet 2
First Action
Aim
- Venture into the Labyrinth with my allies, and defeat the flying harpies we know are in the Death Crags
Plan
- My allies have the detailed plan, I am the fist that will punch through the harpies
- I do not intend to charge in there heedless of the dangers, I do want to avoid injury and protect my allies, so I will focus on at least keeping my wits about me
- We know from the Collective that the harpies are particularly weak when on the ground, so I won't really use my crossbow, and focus on the ones brought down (my allies have a plan for this I am told) to maximise my efforts
- I will prioritise the safety of the allies however, so if any harpies are going for them, I'll try clear them off first
Characters
Allies
- Tinro – he's getting us there safely and helping get everyone in position. I think he has part of the plan, so I will follow that.
- Marika Vitteli – I'm not sure how useful she will be, but she's supposed to be a great Mage, and she has the means to make the Harpies go down, so I'm definitely waiting for her magic once we're actually there.
Others
- I also expect my brother, Alonz, to try and grab all the glory for himself. I can't stop him, but if he does something foolish on my family honour I have to protect him!
Location
- First few levels of the Labyrinth for our journey
- The Death Crags is what we expect to clear
Quirks, Skills, and Resources
Quirks
- Sworn Oath - This is one of the first steps in descending through the Labyrinth, and will be one of the easiest, so Izbell is determined to apply herself here.
Skills
- Frontlining 3 – Izbell's job here is killing the harpies and that's what she's great at.
- Planning 1 – Izbell does need to watch out for her allies and defend them appropriately, so she is going to give everyone some brief tips on battle tactics and commands she will use to communicate with them and keep them safe. She will take charge and direct everyone when the fighting kicks off.
- Path of the River 1 – even grounded, the harpies may be quick and agile, so she will enhance her speed or jumping as needed to catch them.
Resources
- The arms and armour she came with, but not much else.
Out Of Character
- This seems a perfect fit for Izbell to show off her combat prowess and start down the path to conquering the Labyrinth. I expect this to go well as this should be her bread-and-butter, and she is keen to protect her allies – that might cause things to go wrong, especially if they are vulnerable. She knows these people a little and they're not a team yet, so maybe this serves as a little bonding exercise too? I do wonder if Alonz will show up, he can really mess things up for his sister!
Second Action
Aim
- Confront Uncle Zimus about what happened to my father
Plan
- I want to be very direct with my Uncle about what I've discovered regarding my father's 'accidental' death
- If he has arranged it all, then he has become a Count through murder and I won't let it stand
- I am not foolish enough to believe I can just overthrow him in turns, but I do need to hear his explanation and side of the story
- I will bring the documents that my friend Olga from the Corpunian Duchess' court passed on to me
- I will try and convince Alonz to help me too. He's my brother and must recognize a wrong to be righted
Characters
Allies
- Olga, my friend from the Duchess' court
- Alonz, my younger brother
Others
- Count Zimus
- His bodyguards
- Zimus' courtiers, including Aunt Lillian
Location
- Count Zimus' castle in Corpunia
Quirks, Skills, and Resources
Quirks
- Terrible Weakness – I am pretty sure Zimus doesn't know about this. Listing it just in case he does.
Skills
- Frontlining 3 – I don't intend to attack Zimus here, but I may need to fight off his bodyguard or at least act threatening to make sure I get to see him. I may need to fight my way out if Zimus decides I'm a liability
- Planning 1 – I can at least plan the ways to escape, as well as wait for the best time to see Zimus – I don't want an appointments, I want to blindside him if I can
- Scholarship -1 – I don't actually know the veracity of the evidence I have, which is unfortunate
- Path of the River 1 – In case I need to jump out of windows
Resources
- My honour as a knight, though I technically serve Zimus. That might be enough for the audience alone.
Out Of Character
- Izbell is shocked by the accusation and will confront this very directly. I am aware that this is likely some sort of forgery of evidence and there is politics involved. So this probably goes very badly for Izbell as she's just a pawn in someone else's game. She doesn't want to play, but doesn't have the tools to figure out so will blunder forward to the best of her abilities and try figure it out.
Character Focus
Type
- Advancing skill
Detail
- Planning
Plan
- Izbell sees herself as a leader and tactician as much as knight, and knows that to brave the Labyrinth she may need to command more than herself and even a small band of companions in battle. Reaching the bottom of the Labyrinth will take planning and logistics to achieve. She will do her best to practice in their venture to the Death Crags, maybe even learning from the experience of others if applicable.
Housekeeping
- Send a thank you note to Olga
- As agreed, allow Tinro to see her quarter at Kythara, he seems interested and I have nothing to hide
- Accept Ambassador Yue's gift but don't open it. Probably throw it away. I don't trust them.
